World Thrombosis Day 2025

October 13, 2025

Today (October 13th, 2025) marks World Thrombosis Day, a global campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the causes, risks, and prevention of blood clots. From hormonal therapies and pregnancy to menopause and contraceptive choices, women face unique, lifelong factors that can influence their clotting risk. Early recognition, equitable access to care, and evidence-based management are key to improving outcomes and saving lives.

As we honor World Thrombosis Day, we join the international community in calling for greater awareness, education, and research focused on women’s thrombotic health, because every woman and girl deserves informed care and protection from preventable clots.
